Negligence fuelled by Corruption cause Floods in an Indian City
Corruption Type
Fraud, Collusion
Bengaluru, the capital city of Karnataka, a state in southern India known for its tech industry, experienced heavy rainfall, resulting in severe flooding in 2022.

Watchdog groups have alleged that government officials, in collusion with land “mafias”, sanctioned property development on wetlands, bypassing environmental regulations.
