Media advisory: International Anti-Corruption Conference to be held 6-10 December
The 20th International Anti-Corruption Conference (IACC) will be hosted by the United States government, organised by Transparency International in partnership with Transparency International U.S., in Washington, D.C. from 6 to 10 December 2022.
The IACC is the world’s largest independent forum to fight corruption, with representatives from 140 countries. This year the conference will focus on the theme “Uprooting Corruption, Defending Democratic Values”. As the world faces myriad challenges, workshops and plenary sessions will discuss how corruption fuels threats – and how we can fight it.
Delia Ferreira Rubio, chair of Transparency International said:
“Right now, the international community is struggling to respond to an unprecedented number of global threats – from the pandemic to the aggression of kleptocratic regimes and the growing impact of climate change. Corruption exacerbates each of these challenges and undermines our response. Throughout its history, the IACC has been the place for global leaders to come together and commit to fighting pervasive corruption. This year, it’s more important than ever.”
