Annual Membership Meeting agrees governance changes, elects new board members

The 2019 Annual Membership Meeting of Transparency International has voted in favour of proposed reforms to the anti-corruption movement's governance structure, strengthening its ability to face today’s global challenges. Three members of the Transparency International movement were also elected as new members of the Board of Directors.

Among the changes is the creation of a new International Council, comprised of up to 60 external experts who will support Transparency International’s objectives and activities. The Board of Directors will consist of members of the International Council and representatives of Transparency International’s national chapters. Current individual members of Transparency International will be invited to join the International Council. The membership of Transparency International’s founders will continue unchanged.
